I also must just not be doing it right. After installing the 2gig RAM and making the changes suggested by a reviewer on Amazon, my Q1U with Vista is plenty fast. I run Windows Mail, Firefox, and an SSH client at the same time with no serious lags between. Even the Bear video plays fine.
