The end result is simply beautiful. Including SSD greatly improves battery life and including HSDPA means internet everywhere. Check out his post for high-resolution pictures and a video.Not one to be outdone, I decided to try to install a webcam in my umpc using one of the extra USB ports.
The hardware part was easy: Shave down a USB plug and shorten the USB cable on a webcam. Success!
Next step: Test the hardware so it still works. Success!
Third step - Look at the webcam again. It's way too thick. There's NO WAY to install that into a UMPC without it sticking way too far out. Fail. Epic fail. Oh well - time to find a slim webcam element! You win this round, JKK!

You should be able to take off that big plastic lens and have it still work just fine, I've seen a few USB webcams tested around the office like that.
