My first attempt at an internal USB hub was a failure. I simply lack the proper soldering equipment to replace the USB ports with wire leads and destroyed my first micro hub. If anyone can find a smaller 3-4 port hub and replace all but one upstream port (the last one is for the Flash drive) with wire leads, I will be eternally grateful.
How do I expect to wire in an internal USB port? Stay tuned.

I don't have a spare hub to experiment with, but you're welcome to send me the broken bits, and I'll try to fix it up for you.
