Back on July 4, I rolled back from Vista to XP on my TabletKiosk eo v7110 after having installed it a month before. I was having performance issues with Vista and thought I could overcome them with XP. The simple discovery was that I craved the functionality that Vista gave me and am willing to handle the occasional slow window draws to get it.
This is what I miss most:
- The handwriting recognition and floating TIP! The XP tablet panel does not float on top of the window but instead resizes it. This is much slower and more annoying.
- Origami Experience. I have to say, I've become addicted to that little thing as my favorite touch-optimized media player.
- Style. I like the new Start menu, search features, and appearance.
- Double function tablet buttons. I love the option to either click or click and hold.

Sorry, the crappy layout here cuts off the url
I was very happy to hear you got Vista on the v7110 being a new owner.
I was disheartened to hear it could only be the Ultimate version as that is the most expensive (the reason I am still with XP).
When you upgraded back to Vista, did you still have to use Ultimate or will a different version (like Home Premium) work?
