Once active in community discussion, lately Microsoft's Origami team has been eerily silent. On the OrigamiProject forums, there are 19 people listed as part of the team.
Of the previously assigned team including Dustin, Sears, Emily, Wendy and others, none have posted at all since since Sears' last post in April. I know that's sensible, as Dustin announced the total team turnover (except Jeremy) on January 30. New team members hammster, Ross, and Oscar have been silent since April on the forums. Tobi had a survey going for a while and did respond to a couple private messages of mine, but his last public post was in April as well. Otto, the Haiku/Origami champion himself, hadn't posted anything since his blog posts about the History of Origami in March of last year.
This leads us to ask - where did you all go? VIA, Intel, OQO, Samsung, and others are charging full steam ahead on the hardware side of this platform, so where's our team championing the small screen, touch-optimized user interface? Did you get kidnapped by some super secret project in Redmond?

The calm before the storm perhaps?
We managed to speak to Otto at Computex 2007 recently so at least we know they haven't been abducted!
Steve.
Here here. Please come out of hiding and help with the umpc movement on line led by such great folks as Thoughtfix and Chippy.
