Palm gives us - The Foleo?

That's it. The Foleo.
I can't say as I am excited about this. It looks like a micro notebook.
Good stuff:
  • Small and thin - 2.5 lbs
  • 10" display
  • 5 hour battery life
  • "instant on" - a feature I've been lusting for in UMPCs
  • Smartphone synchronization.
  • Full keyboard
The bad:
  • List at $599, but there's an introductory $100 rebate on preorders
  • I've heard mention of "Linux OS," but looks like a proprietary OS.
I don't know what this has over UMPCs or sub-$500 laptops. I'd have to get one in my hands to see.

I think the Palm Foleo will be a great device : if we can install other applications, it ll becoma a n800 with a full keyboard ...

I think i will sell my n800 and buy the new Palm.

web browsing, mail reading & writing, word doc reading & writing ...

it's all I need when I'm not at home (may be one or two movies ....)

have a good day

Unfortunately, at the moment it looks executively-determined to be a subordinate companion to a Treo (smartphone), so you may not want to sell that N800 quite yet.
