- Comment: You are describing what the manufacturers are calling a hybrid hard drive (HHD). I believe they are already out or coming out soon and Vista is supposed to support them. May want to look into the following Vista technologies. (read more)
- Response: I added more information to the original article illustrating the differences between the technologies he mentioned and my goal, but the stuff he mentioned is going to be of certain use to UMPC owners. Thanks for the feedback!

- Comment: Looking at the way that product randomly seem to appear in markets, i'm not suprised. (read more)

- Response: I think the idea of a pocket-sized x86 flavor machine is great, too, but the standard Windows interface is FAR too clunky for limited resolutions. - Response: I didn't get a chance to play with that software before I returned the review unit, but I will look into it for my next car PC experiment. Thanks!

- Comment: For what its worth, there is a version of Daemon tools that works fine with Vista. There are also other virtual CD tools that work fine. Also, DRM is working fine on Vista. Not sure what types of problems you had, but I can play my DRM protected music and video without any problems on Vista. (read more)
- Response: I tested some DRM encrypted files at CES and they did work. My guess is that the difference is in Secure Audio Path or something similar, since my tablet was running XDDM drivers and not WDDM drivers.
