UMPC Vista media center problems

The video above is what I see when attempting to use my TabletKiosk eo v7110 and the Media Center component of Windows Vista Home Premium. I haven't seen anyone else report this.

Any advice? My graphics driver is:

Provider: Via/S3G
Date: 4/14/2006
Driver Version: 6.14.10.297

Attempting to install the driver from WindowsUpdate gave me a standard VGA display and resizing the display with the tablet buttons did not work properly. The rest of my set-up was as described in my last post about Vista.

Interesting.

I have heard that Vista media centre doesn't work well with the VIA C7.
It doesn't support DirectX9 extensions in hardware and some of the 3D effects are slow slow slow.
However, this looks like something different!

See.

I have media center working fine. the only thing that I can't do is play videos. I'll check later what video drivers I'm using.

When I said fine; I mean slow; but usable.

I think it's too slow to be usable. Ya I can play a video or a slide show or even music, but navigating is so painful that I don't even want to bother with it. I have vista media center with 802.11g and a wired 360.

Any chance you found a fix for this? I am experiencing the same issue, same chipset.
