Have you used it to connect to youu organization wireless Network.

TabletKiosk uses PEAP which isn't compatible with the ones used in our organization LEAP Fast and TKIP. I am able to connect to other wireless networks out there but not to the one within our ograniztion, the UPMC can detect the Wireless Network but can't get authenticated.
Our HP Tables and IBM Thinkpad tablets PCs used in our organization by mobile workers have the connection agent/software provided by the vendor. I didn't get any help form teh vednor and was told this was the fisrt request of this type they've had.

Any help/feedback woudl be very much apprecaited.
Nima

Below is the E-mail I received from the vendor:

Naima,
I have not gotten a response from Qcom yet. I’ll let you know as soon as I get a response.

Any new update on the above item?

I can connect to other wireless networks outside of our organization, but not to our COE (City of Edmonton) wireless. This has to do with the authentication. We need an authentication software that will work with our environment which uses EAP Fast and LEAP protocol (CISCO product). The tablet kiosk uses PEAP which is Microsoft

Thanks,

Yes I do have the same one installed. What I need is the authentication software for it. In our environment we use the connection Manager provided by the vendors, for example we use PROSet Version 7.1.3.0 for Intel 2100 3B for Intel, Thinkpad for IBM etc...

I need the one for the driver Qcom-1.0.43.17 currently installed on the UMPC eo v7110 256/40.

The vendor that provides the driver may have it.

Thanks,

Hi ,

My software support team suggested that you uninstall the current version and install the Qcom-1.0.43.17. Do you currently have the .17 version on your eo?

Thanks

We are evaluating the UMPC eo v7110 256/40 with the possibility of buying a number of them. However we need to get it to work.

What I need is Authentication software and/or the protocol that will work with CISCO, we are using both EAP-FAST, LEAP, and TKIP in our environment. I was told the one used by the tabletkiosk is PEAP which si not compatible with CISCO.

I've checked your site to download another protocol that would work but I only found the one that came with it: Qcom-1.0.43.17

Thanks,

We've purchased a tablet kiosk eo UMPC v7110 in July 2006.
I am unable to detect the wireless network, but cannot be authenticated.
I need the software for authentication.
Our wireless network uses CISCO EAP FAST authentication, which currently isn't compatible with Tablet Kiosk which uses PEAP.

Thanks,
