Extreme UMPC hacks - A Poll

Today, while replacing my car's burnt out dome light with an array of LEDs, something occured to me...

I put a link my last post about a case mod project I once did. This is not a new thing for me but I haven't done a new project in a couple years. Also, all the UMPCs seem to look the same after a while.

I want to color mine, add a window, improve cooling, install interior lighting, and redirect one of the USB ports internally for a wireless USB dongle when they are relased.

But this is a BRAND NEW DEVICE. It wasn't cheap either. Have I gotten so old that I fear voiding my own warranty?

What do you all think?
To Warranty or Not To Warranty
Focus on closed-box hacks with software, USB devices, and other non-warranty-voiding operations.

Take some risks, but do your best to keep within the bounds of normal user operations.

Rip your TabletKiosk eo v7110 apart and go for extreme hacks!

For me I hold off tweaking hardware for a while. I've found that if a device is going to crap out on me it will do so in the first half of it's warranty. Once that's over with it's open season.
